Juicy orange slices on my small white plate with the gold rim. The plate’s special. My mom got the set for me one Christmas. I’d like to think she’d like that it was part of a still life oil painting. They’re fragile plates, Romania china, so they’re not used every day.
These were big Florida oranges and admittedly it was hard not to eat them before I was through painting them. Ultimately, they were destined for a delicious fruit salad.
